    Cowboys (Real Life)

Picture it: a wide, open plain. Then over the horizon comes a man on a horse. It’s not just any man. He has the famous hat, the famous boots, and the famous attitude. It’s a cowboy. Cowboys are major figures in American mythology. They are thought to be rugged loners, who are brave and tough. Many people find them very interesting, exciting, or attractive. People continue to wear cowboy hats and cowboy boots today, to try to copy this ideal. Why do people continue to be so obsessed with cowboys? Stomachaches (Real Life)

When your stomach starts to cramp and you feel a little queasy, you had better head for the bathroom quickly! Nausea can be quite sudden and keep you from getting anything done. Huddling over the toilet is really miserable. When you’re sick with the flu, it’s important to stay hydrated. As soon as possible, you should drink something like water or a light carbonated soda. For food, stick to something bland like crackers or toast. Food poisoning is another reason you might have a stomachache. People who are lactose intolerant or allergic to gluten sometimes get upset stomaches when they accidentally eat the wrong food. Other people might suffer from food poisoning, which happens when the food they ate was actually bad. Find out who has a stomachache and what he requests for a cure in this English lesson. -- View this and other great English lessons at English, baby! http://www.englishbaby.com/

    Water (Real Life)

Drip, drip, drip. Do you know that sound? Water leaking out of a tap is a common problem for people with indoor plumbing. Not only is the sound annoying, but the constant drips can also waste a lot of water! Not all waste is caused by a broken sink, though. You might not be a model citizen if you take long showers or leave the lukewarm water on until it is perfectly hot or cold. Water should be conserved whenever you can. It’s easier to save water than to recycle it! Find out what Jeff and Mason think about water in this English lesson. -- View this and other great English lessons at English, baby! http://www.englishbaby.com/

    ghost (Slang)

“All of a sudden, he stopped replying to my text messages. I mean, he’s not replying to emails, not picking up the phone when I call him. I’m just, like, did he ghost me? Have I been ghosted?” —Ebaby!’s Dominique, speaking about being ignored -- View this and other great English lessons at English, baby! http://www.englishbaby.com/
