644 - 01/06/19 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Star Control: Origins Takedown, MAGFest Reminiscing

MAGFest was this past weekend, and while I didn't go this year, I've gone in the past and really enjoyed it. Keep listening for a special music performance from the Jam Session featuring Yours Truly. The original creators of Star Control have used the DMCA to stop the current owners of the Star Control franchise from selling their game on certain digital storefronts. They may not have a case. Skype calls failed again for whatever reason, but we were able to talk to OLR about their hopes and dreams for 2019.

643 - 12/30/18 Bobby Blackwolf Show - SimCity NES Prototype, SEGA AGES: Phantasy Star Impressions

We open up with a story about a Christmas gift gone "wrong" and how it could be more of an issue in the future. Netflix has released a new Black Mirror episode that plays more like a Telltale game than a movie. Virtual Console never had anything on SEGA AGES: Phantasy Star in how to present older games to a new audience. The Video Game History Foundation got their hands on a prototype of the NES version of SimCity and have made it available to everyone. Then we take (some technical difficulty) calls about MAGFest, Amazon, and Katamari Damacy Reroll.

642 - 12/23/18 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Spiderman DLC Suit, PSVR's Awesome Year

Spiderman on PS4 adds new Spidey suits as DLC, and one has been requested very loudly by the community. It was finally delivered, but was it released due to public pressure or because it was being planned that way all along? The PlayStation VR had a quietly awesome year, and I talk about some of the games you need to try if you got a PSVR under the tree this year. Then we take calls about Games of the Year, Pokemon Go trainer battles, and Minecraft finally acknowledging the Wii U isn't a thing anymore.

641 - 12/16/18 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Forza Horizon 4: Fortune Island, Discord Game Store

It's our first night on Twitch, and you'll have to excuse us while we get our bearings - unfortunately, the second half of the show did not go as well as the first, comparatively. The first expansion for Forza Horizon 4 came out - Fortune Island - and it doesn't add as much as we thought it would. Oculus and ZeniMax have settled their lawsuit over trade secrets being used to develop the Rift. Discord has upped the ante with game developers by offering 90% of game revenue directly to them, instead of the 75% or 88% of their competitors. Then we (try to) take calls about what games we've been playing, Oculus Go as a video watching device, and the move to Twitch. A LOT was cut out of this segment because it's just not good for a podcast audience to listen to. We'll get it right next week.

640 - 12/09/18 Bobby Blackwolf Show - Katamari Damacy Reroll, Epic Games Store

This could quite possibly be the last episode broadcast live on internet radio, as we could be moving to Twitch as soon as next weekend. On December 7th, the Switch got a wonderful title - Katamari Damacy Reroll! It also got something about smashing... Epic Games turned its Fortnite Launcher into the Epic Games Store, much like how Valve took the Half-Life 2 Launcher and turned it into Steam so long ago. Then we take calls about the Game Awards.
