007: Trump Administration - Clean Energy And Holidays
We're going to go over at least 10 items that you can bring up in conversations with friends and family over the holidays.
Studies have shown that 80% of Americans favor the clean energy movement.
Clean energy is more affordable than ever. The price of solar panels have fallen 80%.
We don't know what's going to go on with the Trump president elect of his administration but they’re saying there's going to be a lot of changes. Obviously that's what he's been promoting this entire time, this entire election, all the controversy going back and forth but clean energy.
That's our worlds concerned and it's not just the Trump administration - it's our world. It’ our duty, our sustainable future here we’re talking about.
To be honest right now there’s a lot of jobs in clean Energy. It's been awesome for the local economy and local jobs. There's more jobs in the solar energy than coal mining. The number of solar jobs has grown more than 20% per year in each of the last three years. These are well-paying jobs. Not minimum wage jobs.
Clean energy just makes good business sense. Companies like Walmart have pledged putting up solar powered parking lot lights. Microsoft is making big investments in wind energy. All of Google’s operations are now solar powered.
Fossil fuel power plants accounts for nearly 40% of our us carbon emissions. That's just ridiculous causing health problems, asthma attacks, heart attacks and a staggering number of premature deaths in every single city every year. Solar wind energy resources produce almost no carbon emissions. Solar is the logical right thing to use.
By investing in renewables now we can help shield ourselves from the volatility in the world. Increasing Clean Energy demands a huge response!
What we wanted to get across with today's episode for this holiday season is . . . let's just share what you know and what you want for you and your family’s future - and help all of our children.
